Even if it's not just around the corner, we'd love to advise you about
Casa Scaparone, three hours from Bologna, near Alba in Piemonte. The Agriturismo - farming community - spread over an area of 10 hectares. In 1999 the dream of the owners - two italian and two africans - was to revive an old farmstead which had belonged to a family that had died out in the 1950s, a family which for over 500 years had lived between that walls. Putting away the scars and damage of abandonment, neglect, and of time itself, the farmstead was restored to its original glory. Since 2010, Casa Scaparone has become home to a community of families, friends interested in eco-sustainability, people who need to reset the relationship between man-animals-plants-earth, friends that walk in the same way, people interested in study and research.
